Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership on assigned projects and technical support to the Outage & Project Management team.
• Monitor ongoing work activities to ensure manufacturer and fabricator compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate daily work activities of contractors and collaborate with plant outage coordinators, station planners, and on-site/off-site contractors.
• Review and coordinate comments on consulting engineer and supplier documents to ensure proper issuance and filing.
• Advise O&PM Construction personnel in developing Scopes of Work, project schedules, and cost estimates.
• Facilitate project team meetings and conference calls to maintain schedules and budget control.
• Support Energy Supply power plants in identifying and solving O&M problems and augment plant staff as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder only.
• For Engineer II: 4+ years of engineering experience in heavy industry or utility business (Project Engineering or Plant Maintenance).
• For Engineer III: 8+ years of engineering experience in heavy industry or utility business (Project Engineering or Plant Maintenance).

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida.
• Passing the Florida Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Experience working in utility generating facilities or engineering companies serving utility facilities.
• Experience supervising cooperative education students or contractors.
• Demonstrated sound knowledge in controls and process engineering.
