Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform research, development, and testing of tactical microgrid technologies, including generators, energy storage, and power conversion.
• Work closely with R&D and product development teams to define product specifications, design hardware/software, and verify designs.
• Conduct compliance-requirement, design-trade-off, and failure-mode analysis to facilitate the transition from R&D to production.
• Build and maintain technical competency in emerging power electronics technologies.
• Participate in the prototype development iteration cycle within a data-driven organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of power electronics topology.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
• Proficiency in electronics design (EDA) tools.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in university research involving power electronics design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge in modeling and control of various power sources.
• Familiarity with digital control theory and implementation with embedded microcontrollers (MCU, DSP, FPGA).
• Proficiency with simulation and math software such as MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C, or MATLAB.
• Understanding of power architectures and converters for specific applications.
