About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and test new human interface devices, controllers, and sensor systems
- Support embedded hardware and firmware development efforts
- Assist in integrating devices with networking systems, mobile applications, and Linux-based environments
- Maintain engineering drawings, schematics, test plans, and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot customer issues related to hardware, firmware, or system-level operation
- Perform root-cause analysis on failures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- 0–3 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-ops
- Knowledge of or interest in embedded systems, networking, Linux, and mobile connectivity
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Willingness to relocate to Connecticut
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded C/C++ or Python
- Knowledge of sensors, signal conditioning, and communication protocols (I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)
- Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
- Exposure to Git, Jira, or similar development tools
