Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support construction projects and utility developments at the Knolls Site
• Develop and define project scope in collaboration with sponsors
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and perform drawing reviews
• Provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utility projects
• Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs and construction documents
• Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates
• Knowledge of building codes and standards
• Experience in construction administration, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and inspections
• Active DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent
• US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT certificate or P.E. License
• Engineering consulting experience
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
