About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment, including Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs, and SCADA.
- Apply relevant design standards, including Client and WIMES standards and applicable legislation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure projects are completed on programme and within budget.
- Produce technical specifications and schedules for procurement, and review supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
- Produce User Requirement Specifications (URS) for control systems, review supplier Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and attend factory acceptance tests.
- Review and understand existing installed systems through site visits, drawings, and reports to ensure seamless interfacing.
- Positively engage with clients to manage relationships and support their project aims.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Working towards IEng or CEng status with a relevant Engineering Institution.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving.
- A valid driving licence and a willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
