Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs for schemes, ensuring they meet current legislation and standards
• Work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs, and SCADA
• Produce and review technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities
• Review supplier tender bids and technical submissions
• Act as a technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across teams
• Manage the interfaces and integration of electrical designs with other engineering disciplines
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop practical and safe solutions
• Supervise and mentor graduates and junior engineers to develop their technical skills
• Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., IET, ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience
• Proven experience with water, wastewater, or related infrastructure projects
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality, and safety standards
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites
