Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop complete electrical design packages including schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and BOMs for low- and medium-voltage control equipment
• Ensure designs comply with IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and UL standards
• Collaborate with manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and field service teams to resolve design challenges
• Lead client-facing communication regarding technical issues and requirements
• Partner with estimators to provide design input for project quotes
• Provide technical support during production and client witness testing
• Mentor junior designers and engineers to improve design standards and processes
• Drive innovation through new product development and improvement projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of electrical engineering design experience with Switchgear in marine, heavy industrial, or oil & gas industries
• 1+ years of experience with electro-mechanical power system design (low/medium voltage distribution, motor control centers, arc flash protection)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Promis*E
• Understanding of generator controls, protective relays, and short circuit/coordination studies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Ability to work in an office setting with frequent visits to the production floor
• Ability to travel to regional sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Experience with marine, oil and gas, or energy sector projects
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems
