Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Check manufacturer's wiring drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, and data sheets
• Research and analyze requirements from engineering standards, contracts, and proposal documents
• Prepare basic engineering calculations and drawings following departmental standards
• Provide draft equipment specifications for major electrical equipment
• Perform bid evaluations and coordinate electrical equipment contracts with vendors
• Maintain engineering records and manage cable and termination information using plant design software
• Coordinate work with engineers, designers, project managers, and construction personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work productively to meet deadlines and follow safety instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA above 3.0
• Demonstrated interest in power systems engineering
