Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review detailed AC/DC calculations using ETAP, including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, arc-flash, motor starting, protection, and relay coordination
• Prepare electrical drawings, including single lines, three lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Design and review lighting, communications, and security systems
• Develop and review equipment specifications and participate in bid evaluations
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and engage with clients
• Perform constructability reviews and prepare scoping documents
• Travel periodically to client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and construction coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 7-10+ years of experience in electrical system design for industrial or nuclear power plant projects
• Proficiency in ETAP and experience with low and medium voltage distribution systems
• Experience preparing engineering design packages, calculations, and specifications
• PE license or the ability to obtain one
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
