About the role
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and evaluate electrical systems, products, and components using fundamental engineering principles
- Apply expertise in RF, power, AC/DC circuitry, communications, and software principles to complex systems
- Design testing methods to confirm system capabilities and ensure product quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to power, circuitry, and communications
- Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
- Author engineering documentation, including drawings, project specifications, and procedures
- Coordinate with management and customers for design reviews and testing events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related scientific/technical discipline
- 7+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Experience designing, developing, building, and verifying printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or LabVIEW
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Experience with High-Energy Lasers (HEL), directed energy, or precision pointing systems
- Background in real-time systems, embedded software, or FPGA-based control
- Understanding of electro-optical systems, thermal management, or power storage systems
- Knowledge of DoD systems engineering processes and military specifications
