Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Integrate, test, and make updates to the AC electrical power generation system with engine driven generators and generator controllers
• Review the AC and DC power distribution system architecture for the airplane including bus signal reviews, configuration updates, and wiring changes
• Develop and review test plans for power generation and distribution
• Conduct bench and airplane tests
• Manage electrical power system parts definition, sourcing, and development
• Design the current return and grounding network strategy and definition
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience in electrical power design for Part 25 aircraft
• Ability to analyze technical data and troubleshoot test failures
• Experience with root-cause investigations and clear documentation
• Strong cross-functional versatility and intellectual curiosity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with supplier oversight
• Direct experience with airplane development programs, especially experimental designs
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and experiment airworthiness processes
• Advanced power generation, storage, and distribution techniques
• Familiarity with digital thread approaches (CAD/PLM)
