Electrical Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist with vehicle design, system assembly, and component testing including PCB design, firmware development, power systems, and wire harnessing
• Manage electrical system production and prototype electrical circuits
• Test sensors and circuit boards designed by the engineering team
• Document performance and test outcomes
• Support customer-facing product trials and sea trials
• Maintain a log of learnings, resources, and self-acquired knowledge

Requirements

• Experience with C++ and Python for firmware and scripting
• Familiarity with PCB design and testing
• Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and sensor/actuator interfacing
• Exposure to battery-operated power systems and circuit design
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent PCB CAD software preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across sub-teams
• Comfortable working in office and at sea trials
• Positive learning mindset with ability to quickly absorb and apply knowledge
