Electrical Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems of intermediate complexity including power, lighting, grounding, and special systems
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, construction managers, and vendors to ensure constructible designs
• Develop narratives, reports, construction drawing packages, and specifications
• Support construction activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list development
• Manage electrical design budgets for small to medium projects
• Perform electrical lighting, power, and special systems design calculations
• Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers and designers
• Conduct field surveys to identify non-compliant existing conditions

Requirements

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology
• 5 years of professional experience
• Relevant AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) firm experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Intermediate knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments
• Experience with electrical codes and standards (NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, IEEE)
• Experience conducting field surveys and troubleshooting electrical equipment
• Ability to travel for client development and project execution
