Electrical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Perform power electronics, motor control, and analog/digital circuit design for aerospace projects.
• Conduct analysis, simulation, testing, and debugging for power supplies, LED driver controllers, and actuation systems.
• Manage hardware product development, including obsolescence resolution and re-design to support production.
• Lead technical design reviews with internal and external customers.
• Identify root causes for in-service issues and recommend corrective actions for fielded products.
• Plan tasks, prepare schedules, and provide technical estimates.

Requirements

• Masters in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics & Drives) with 3-6 years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelors in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in high power electronics design (AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC converters).
• Experience with magnetics design, including inductors, power transformers, and SMPS design.
• Proficiency in simulation and modeling using LT-SPICE, PSPICE, MATLAB, or SABER.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital design involving microcontrollers, FPGAs, and DSPs.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC compliance and certification standards such as DO-160 and IEC.
• Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and network analyzers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the design and hardware implementation of motor controllers.
• Experience in the design and testing of constant current LED driver/controllers.
• Familiarity with Military and Aerospace standards.
• Proven experience taking a product from concept through to production.
