About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform full circuit card design lifecycle activities including requirements capture, schematic capture, and design documentation
- Design, document, and troubleshoot digital hardware for communication products using electrical engineering principles
- Conduct signal integrity analysis and create board stackup and routing instructions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop hardware that meets system performance and operational specifications
- Contribute to the development of new products as well as engineering and production test hardware, including CCAs and test fixtures
Requirements
- STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- Proven experience with schematic capture of electrical circuit designs and PCB layout
- Familiarity with schematic capture tools such as Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, or KiCAD
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital electronics including processors, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, and flash memories
- Experience generating Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout constraint guidelines and overseeing fabrication and assembly
- Proficiency using Hyperlynx or similar tools for signal integrity and timing analyses
- Familiarity with COTS test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with Agile for Hardware Development and project tracking in JIRA
