About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform full circuit card design lifecycle activities, including requirements capture, schematic capture, and design documentation
- Conduct signal integrity analysis and create board stackup and routing instructions
- Coordinate and review printed wiring board (PWB) layouts
- Design, document, verify, and troubleshoot digital hardware for communication products
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop hardware that meets system performance and operational specifications
- Contribute to the development of new products, production test hardware, test fixtures, and cabling
Requirements
- STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Experience with schematic capture of electrical circuit designs and PCB layout
- Proficiency with schematic capture tools (e.g., Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, or KiCAD)
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital electronics including processors, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, and flash memories
- Experience generating PWB layout constraint guidelines and overseeing fabrication and assembly
- Experience using Hyperlynx or similar tools for signal integrity and timing analyses
- Familiarity with COTS test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with Agile for Hardware Development and JIRA
