Electrical Engineer II - Hardware

Responsibilities

• Perform full circuit card design lifecycle activities, including requirements capture, schematic capture, and design documentation
• Conduct signal integrity analysis and create board stackup and routing instructions
• Coordinate and review printed wiring board (PWB) layouts
• Design, document, verify, and troubleshoot digital hardware for communication products
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop hardware that meets system performance and operational specifications
• Contribute to the development of new products, production test hardware, test fixtures, and cabling

Requirements

• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Experience with schematic capture of electrical circuit designs and PCB layout
• Proficiency with schematic capture tools (e.g., Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, or KiCAD)
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital electronics including processors, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, and flash memories
• Experience generating PWB layout constraint guidelines and overseeing fabrication and assembly
• Experience using Hyperlynx or similar tools for signal integrity and timing analyses
• Familiarity with COTS test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
• Experience with Agile for Hardware Development and JIRA
