Electrical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Implement hardware designs for new and legacy products based on requirement specifications
• Perform circuit analysis and SPICE simulations to ensure reliable operation across environmental factors
• Develop and implement hardware test plans and build test benches for product validation
• Design and document interconnects, harnesses, and electrical schematics
• Support current products by finding design solutions for obsolete components
• Interface with cross-functional teams, including FPGA, software, mechanical, and reliability engineers
• Collaborate with OEM manufacturers and third-party partners to facilitate design and verification
• Collect, process, and report test data to provide feedback to software and reliability teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s Degree is a plus)
• Ability to read and understand complex electrical and electronic schematics
• Proficiency in VHDL coding for FPGA (simple to mid-complexity)
• Experience with circuit design, analysis, and SPICE simulations
• Hands-on experience with electronic instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
• Experience with communication protocols including Ethernet, USB, Serial, SPI, and I2C
• Experience with fine-pitch electronic circuit assembly and rework
• Experience working with PLC, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or custom hardware/software test beds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Altium design software
• Proficiency in Embedded C programming
