Electrical Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Lay out basic electrical systems in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other design disciplines
• Conduct basic field investigations to integrate design with existing systems and structures
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure coordinated and constructible designs
• Support more experienced Electrical Engineers on matters of basic complexity
• Perform self-checks on work and manage multiple projects as directed
• Participate in all design levels including studies, conceptual design, construction documentation, and administration

Requirements

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• 0 to 3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting
• Experience using Revit
• Ability to perform engineering calculations for lighting, power, and special systems
• Ability to travel for client development and project execution
• Proficiency in fundamental electrical design calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam registration or completion
• Experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions
