Electrical Engineer, Hardware Design

Blissway is a startup that simplifies toll collection and dramatically improves highway safety. We are a lean, high-impact team operating across Deep Tech, AI/ML, Hardware, SaaS, and IoT to build a technological lead in the tolling industry.

Responsibilities

• Own full PCB design end-to-end from concept through field deployment
• Collaborate with software and manufacturing teams to coordinate across boundaries
• Contribute to the transition from rapid prototyping to structured, repeatable product development
• Review designs and implement process discipline for shipping hardware at scale
• Perform hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
• 2+ years of experience building physical hardware
• Proficiency in PCB design (schematic capture to layout)
• Experience with hardware communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN)
• Ability to work onsite in Denver 4-5 days per week
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with product lifecycle management (prototype to production)
• Exposure to environmental and climatic chamber testing
• Power systems design (solar, battery management, DC-DC conversion)
• IoT or edge device experience
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ or Python for test automation
• Experience with CAD tools for mechanical integration
