About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to engineers and technicians regarding transit bus assembly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure high-efficiency manufacturing
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex engineering challenges
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and process optimization
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) input to design teams
  • Develop and improve production processes and documentation
  • Evaluate and address rapid requests from the supply chain

Requirements

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Engineering industry
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and electrical hand tools
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, prototyping, testing, and validation
  • Ability to create and understand electrical drawings and schematics
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with BOM structures
  • Understanding of control systems, programming, and vehicle automation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in automotive, commercial, or heavy-duty vehicle design
  • Experience working with component, engineering service, and testing suppliers
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Service (DFS), and Value Engineering
