About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of design engineering responsibilities in support of facility design, operation, and maintenance activities
- Conduct conventional engineering design, analysis, and calculations
- Develop, review, and support engineering design packages
- Provide construction, field, and project engineering support
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-discipline team
- Interface with stakeholders across disciplines in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University
- 3+ years of relevant experience (Level 2) or 8+ years (Level 3)
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government "Q" clearance
- Familiarity with low power (<480V, 208V, and 120V)
- Prior design experience in power systems
- Experience with construction documentation, specifications, and mitigating field issues
- Working knowledge of industry, regulatory, and DOE/NNSA codes and standards (e.g., NQA-1, IBC, NFPA, NEC)
- Experience with computer-aided design/drafting software or markup tools
