About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for commercial aircraft passenger seats.
- Review supplier data for seat integration approval, including electrical drawings, diagrams, and equipment qualification data.
- Draft and review technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, 3D electrical installation models, and qualification test plans.
- Perform System Safety Analysis and ensure EWIS compliance.
- Collaborate with the Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities to ensure safe and compliant cabin modifications.
- Partner with aircraft Type-Certificate holders to ensure seamless product integration.
- Supervise supplier performance to ensure compliance with all system requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- For Experienced level (Level 3): 5+ years of aerospace industry experience within an EASA or FAA approved organization.
- For Senior level (Level 4/CVE): 10+ years of aerospace industry experience.
- Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) in an EASA Design Organization or as an engineering Unit Member (e-UM) in an FAA Design Organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-178C, RTCA DO-254, and System Safety Assessment.
- Proficiency with engineering tools including Catia V5/V6, ENOVIA, and AutoCAD.
- Experience leading complex projects, including managing schedules, financial assessments, and risk management.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach less experienced engineering staff.
- Experience with aircraft interior modification programs and seat integration.
