About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to all stages of asset development and operation, including technical leadership and technology commercialization
- Support electrical reliability improvement initiatives by developing management tools and compiling technical reports
- Provide technical expertise to identify business opportunities and advance technology applications
- Mentor early-career professionals and participate in internal technical networks
- Conduct electrical equipment health assessments, including transformer oil analysis, thermography, and insulation testing
- Prepare annual maintenance plans and conduct criticality assessments for electrical systems
- Perform power system studies including protective relaying, load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the oil & gas, refining, petrochemicals, or EPC domains
- Proficiency in international electrical standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC, ANSI)
- Experience in electrical maintenance, reliability, and project design
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools such as SAP, Analytics, or Tableau
- Experience with system modeling software tools such as SKM Power Tools or ETAP
- Knowledge of hazardous area equipment design and classification (e.g., ATEX, API)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and managing electrical surveillance programs using CMMS
- Ability to perform risk assessments and document equipment strategies in tools like Credo or PESTRA
- Experience with electrical life cycle management, including obsolescence planning and spare parts management
- Background in supporting brownfield and revamp projects, including writing equipment specifications and reviewing vendor deliverables
