About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of next-generation intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) equipment and catheter systems
  • Design, build, and iterate on custom laboratory and automated test systems, including embedded controllers and data acquisition
  • Develop and debug embedded firmware and supporting software for test and characterization platforms
  • Participate in circuit board design, bring-up, modification, and debugging
  • Collect and interpret experimental performance data to prepare technical summaries for stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop prototypes, and execute experiments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience with significant hands-on technical contribution
  • Experience working with embedded systems, firmware, or hardware-software integrated systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an experimental, systems-level mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with embedded firmware development in C/C++ (preferably on ARM-based microcontrollers)
  • Exposure to circuit board design and review; proficiency with Altium Designer is a plus
  • Experience developing automated test systems, robotics, motion control, or instrumentation
  • Familiarity with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators
  • Experience with Python for data handling or test automation
  • Medical device development experience and familiarity with design controls
