Electrical Engineer/Designer - Studies

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and protective relay coordination
• Design complete substation design packages including schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
• Participate in technical discussions and presentations with clients and internal teams
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
• Support troubleshooting and problem resolution through field data analysis and study results interpretation
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and project proposals

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in the electrical utility engineering sector, specifically focusing on system studies
• Proficiency in power system analysis software such as ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalent tools
• Strong knowledge of protective relay settings and coordination
• Familiarity with industry standards including ANSI, IEC, and IEEE
• Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGGA or ASET

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous engineering experience in Transmission and Distribution, Power Generation, Industrial, or Renewables sectors
• Experience in construction and field installations
