About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and coordinate the work of multidiscipline engineers, specialists, and technicians
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the work group regarding new or modified tasks
- Make work assignments to lower-level staff and ensure designated completion dates are met
- Plan, develop, and direct the day-to-day technical aspects of large or complex engineering projects
- Provide input to the engineering manager on work in progress and technical issues
- Perform senior-level engineering work assignments and make independent engineering judgments on design problems
- Represent the work group in meetings to plan, schedule, and resolve technical issues
