About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate in defining mandates and drafting service offers
- Act as a project manager or discipline lead for various project scales
- Create electrical diagrams (single-line, logic, AC, and DC) and prepare equipment specifications, manufacturing, and installation quotes
- Supervise the production of wiring diagrams, connection drawings, cable lists, and material lists
- Perform technical studies and draft documents such as calculation notes, specifications, and reports
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Travel to project sites as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Mastery of high and medium voltage protection, control, and automation systems for electrical substations
- Experience in consulting engineering, hydroelectric plants, or projects involving Hydro-Québec or other utilities
- Fluency in French (oral and written) and proficiency in English
- Experience in short-circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination studies
- Valid ASP Construction card
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in performing grounding studies
- Knowledge of relay configuration
- Experience in commissioning
