Electrical Engineer - Control and Protection

Responsibilities

• Participate in defining mandates and drafting service offers
• Act as a project manager and/or discipline lead for various projects
• Create electrical diagrams (single-line, logic, AC, and DC) and prepare equipment specifications, manufacturing, and installation quotes
• Supervise the production of wiring diagrams, connection drawings, cable lists, and material lists
• Perform technical studies and draft documents such as calculation notes, specifications, and reports
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Travel to project sites as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience
• Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Mastery of high and medium voltage protection, control, and automation systems for electrical substations
• Experience in consulting engineering, hydroelectricity, or working with utilities like Hydro-Québec
• Fluency in both French and English (written and oral)
• Experience with short-circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination studies
• Valid ASP Construction card

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing grounding studies
• Knowledge of relay configuration
• Experience in commissioning
