About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide E&I engineering assistance to maintenance and operations, including troubleshooting and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades.
- Drive instrument and electrical issues to root cause using a team-based approach and lead root cause failure analysis teams.
- Develop technical expertise for equipment up to 480V, including instruments (level, flow, pressure), analyzers, motors, starters, and VFDs.
- Initiate management of change (MOC) documents to improve safety, quality, and environmental impact.
- Develop and implement Mechanical Integrity, Quality Assurance, Reliability, and PPM programs.
- Prepare and audit scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and equipment specifications.
- Participate in process hazards analyses and support capital projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing or industrial experience (includes co-op/internship).
- Working knowledge of instruments, analyzers, or basic electric (120VAC up to 480V), including wiring, power panels, and control valves.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leadership and work hands-on with mechanics and operators.
- Ability to manage both long-term strategic projects and short-term operational issues simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and automated equipment.
- Familiarity with RAGEGAP, NEC, and SAP.
- Understanding of PSM systems and high-hazard processes.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification.
