About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning for facility upgrades, expansions, and new tool installations
- Develop commissioning plans and validation protocols for performance and compliance
- Author and review electrical project scopes of work (SOWs) and switching/LOTO schedules
- Provide electrical engineering support for new fab construction and tool installations
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, SEMI standards, and power quality requirements
- Champion electrical safety and maintain compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and NFPA 70B
- Apply load-shedding and restoration strategies to minimize risk during outages
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Associate's degree will be considered)
- 4+ years of electrical engineering experience, including construction support and troubleshooting
- Experience with low and medium-voltage systems up to 12,000 V
- Proficiency in power distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), and VFDs
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards including NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NETA
- Skilled in Revit and CAD drafting platforms such as AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems or controls
- Experience with control systems troubleshooting and commissioning
- Experience performing power systems studies, including arc flash analysis and short circuit calculations
- Background in high-reliability environments such as semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or data center facilities
