Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics for automotive, off-road, and defense applications incorporating SoCs/MCUs, power, memory, and peripherals
• Design boards using high and low speed digital interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, MIPI, DP, ethernet) and automotive interfaces (LIN, CAN, Flexray)
• Oversee PCB layout to ensure compliance with DFx standards and performance, cost, and thermal constraints
• Create component block diagrams and engage with PCB/PCBA vendors for fabrication and assembly
• Collaborate with system, firmware, and software teams for platform bring-up and validation
• Develop and execute test plans to validate design performance

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• At least 2 years of hands-on hardware design experience
• Strong grasp of analog, power, and digital design/interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, UART, GSM)
• Proficiency in schematic capture and layout
• Experience with lab tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers
• In-depth understanding of PCB manufacturing and electrical system troubleshooting
• Excellent technical writing and collaborative skills
• Proficiency in using modern AI tools and automation agents

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in building automotive hardware systems or prototype vehicles
• Experience with high-volume hardware production
• Experience with real-time HW systems with safety constraints
• Proficiency with Altium Designer
• Experience designing circuits for cameras or displays
