Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications into work authorization documents
• Lead technicians on work authorization execution and serve as task team leader for flight hardware integration
• Develop ground flight application software (GFAS) for use in ground vehicle testing and launch
• Test, checkout, and launch the SLS/Orion from the Launch Control Center (LCC)
• Obtain and maintain system-specific certifications

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or a technical equivalent from an accredited institution
• At least four years of relevant engineering experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Internet browsers, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret engineering schematics, drawings, 3D CAD files, and technical specifications
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in flight electrical, flight termination systems, or pyrotechnics engineering
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical information to stakeholders
