About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage NERC/FERC compliance by monitoring rule changes, conducting investigations, and maintaining electronic maintenance records
- Provide technical support for electrical power distribution systems, including high voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, and motors
- Perform electrical engineering studies such as arc flash, load flow, short circuit, and harmonic analysis
- Lead electrical engineering activities to improve asset reliability and optimize maintenance costs
- Provide technical guidance to operating plants regarding local, national, and international electrical codes and standards
- Perform protection engineering tasks, including developing system models and determining relay settings
- Support operations, maintenance, and project managers with electrical safety and system protection standards
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical design and/or operations
- Strong understanding of medium/high voltage motors and distribution systems
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC, ISA, NEC, IEEE)
- In-depth knowledge of NERC/FERC regulations and ERCOT nodal markets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills

- Prior experience in the industrial gas industry
