Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for simulated training devices, including AC/DC power distribution, grounding, and I/O distribution.
• Interface various avionics and trainer equipment using protocols such as MIL-1553, ARINC-429, and Ethernet.
• Collaborate with Systems and Mechanical Engineering teams to develop manufacturable, reliable, and maintainable electrical designs.
• Produce technical documentation including wire lists, cable drawings, system drawings, and top-level assemblies.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to specify hardware and ensure successful technology solutions.
• Support manufacturing by resolving design issues and creating engineering change documents.
• Participate in customer meetings, including requirement reviews, design reviews, and acceptance testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Working knowledge of hardware and electrical system design and test processes.
• Experience with AC/DC power distribution and electrical system design.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for compliance with government contract and security requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience within the flight simulator industry.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
• Previous experience working with government customers and supporting design reviews.
