Electrical Engineer, Actuator Systems

Responsibilities

• Design and validate PCBAs for actuator and motor control systems, including motor controllers, gate drivers, power distribution boards, and mixed-signal sensing circuits
• Develop conceptual designs and conduct trade studies to support key actuator hardware decisions
• Design across analog, digital, and power domains on the same board, managing signal integrity, noise isolation, and thermal considerations
• Support review of design artifacts such as schematics, layouts, and bills of materials from peers and external suppliers
• Support system integration and test activities through hands-on debugging and validation

Requirements

• Bachelor or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Solid EE fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and testing PCBAs
• Mastery of Altium Designer in both schematics and layout
• Experience with motor controller design, including gate drivers, H-bridges, FOC, and BLDC/PMSM topologies
• Experience with mixed-signal design spanning analog, digital, and power domains
• Strong debugging instincts and the ability to drive hardware problems to solutions quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with power electronics such as DC-DC converters, switching regulators, and battery management
• Familiarity with current sensing, encoder interfaces, and motor feedback circuits
• Experience with small form factor boards (HDI, flex, rigid-flex)
• Embedded programming of microcontrollers, DSPs, or FPGAs for motor control applications
• Experience with LTspice or similar simulation tools
• Background in robotics, automotive, drone, or other motor-driven systems
