About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and equipment for Unmanned Systems (UAVs, UGVs, USVs)
- Support development and maintenance of electrical system documentation including wiring diagrams and schematics using GIT
- Assist with the design, test, and review of new and existing PCB designs
- Analyze technical data, specifications, and blueprints to ensure compliance with codes and military standards
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and clients to resolve technical issues
- Support installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff
- Develop automated programming and testing apparatuses for quality assurance
- Support rapid prototyping, system bring-up, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Knowledge of electrical design software (Altium, Eagle PCB, Autodesk Fusion360, or KICAD)
- Knowledge of electrical simulation tools such as LTspice
- Knowledge of industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI)
- Familiarity with battery-powered UAVs and avionics (IMUs, AHRS, BLDC motors)
- Knowledge of embedded processors (ARM) and C/C++ programming
- Proficiency with lab equipment (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.)
- Strong soldering skills
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- Knowledge of RF simulation tools (ANSYS HFSS or CST Microwave Studio)
- MCAD skills with Autodesk Fusion360 or SolidWorks
