About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and equipment for Unmanned Systems (UAVs, UGVs, USVs)
  • Support development and maintenance of electrical system documentation including wiring diagrams and schematics using GIT
  • Assist with the design, test, and review of new and existing PCB designs
  • Analyze technical data, specifications, and blueprints to ensure compliance with codes and military standards
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and clients to resolve technical issues
  • Support installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff
  • Develop automated programming and testing apparatuses for quality assurance
  • Support rapid prototyping, system bring-up, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Knowledge of electrical design software (Altium, Eagle PCB, Autodesk Fusion360, or KICAD)
  • Knowledge of electrical simulation tools such as LTspice
  • Knowledge of industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI)
  • Familiarity with battery-powered UAVs and avionics (IMUs, AHRS, BLDC motors)
  • Knowledge of embedded processors (ARM) and C/C++ programming
  • Proficiency with lab equipment (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.)
  • Strong soldering skills
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Knowledge of RF simulation tools (ANSYS HFSS or CST Microwave Studio)
  • MCAD skills with Autodesk Fusion360 or SolidWorks
