Electrical & Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the design owner and subject matter expert for large commercial battery backup systems using lithium-ion or other chemistries.
• Invent, prototype, test, and implement design changes to improve product value, pursue cost-out opportunities, or prevent problem recurrence.
• Create and revise technical documentation and user manuals for new and existing products.
• Troubleshoot emergent problems by investigating issues at customer sites (typically datacenters) or local factories.
• Operate high-voltage test equipment up to 700V and 1.6MW and design/modify simple test equipment as needed.
• Coordinate project tasks with global engineering teams and interact with customers to support sales or resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
• Strong planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to customer sites (approximately every 4-6 months).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in analog or high-voltage circuit design, industrial equipment design, or power infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Lithium-ion battery management systems.
• Experience with sensor and microprocessor integration.
• Experience certifying products with listing agencies such as UL or CSA.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 855, or 2-dimensional CAD.
