About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute electrical design, drafting, and 3D modelling tasks for oil & gas offshore platforms and onshore projects
- Independently develop electrical substation layouts, electrical room layouts, cable tray layouts, and lighting layouts
- Perform cable tray fill calculations independently
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, safety, and environmental goals
- Adhere to project-specific Quality Assurance guidelines and OH&S procedures
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues related to 3D modelling and layouts
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design
- BTEC Higher National Diploma or Diploma of Higher Education
- Proven experience working with IEC, NEC, and IEEE electrical standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance from lead designers or engineers
