About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and design skills while checking for interferences and constructability
  • Create plan drawings, details, schematics, and one-line drawings for electrical deliverables
  • Maintain master drawing sets with current revisions for electrical and controls design
  • Complete as-built documentation using RFIs, ECNs, and red-marked drawings from construction
  • Model electrical components using vendor submittals and electrical designs
  • Route electrical cables to generate cable schedules
  • Participate in project meetings and report progression updates or issues to Lead Electrical Designers

Requirements

  • Associates, Vocational, or Bachelor's degree in Design & Drafting technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with 3D programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or Navisworks
  • Ability to conceptualize effectively in a 3D environment
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and PDF software
  • Strong communication skills for professional interaction via email and electronic meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of power plant design experience or related field experience
