Electrical Designer (ICT/ELV)

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical equipment layouts, plans, and cable schedules for healthcare sector buildings
• Develop cable route diagrams, conduit developments, and MCC/control panel elevation drawings
• Create load schedules, single line diagrams, and earthing/lighting layout drawings
• Perform electrical calculations, including essential electrical systems specific to healthcare requirements
• Coordinate design elements with civil, mechanical, process, and other engineering disciplines
• Collaborate with project managers and design staff to deliver coordinated healthcare sector projects
• Maintain and expand technical knowledge of healthcare-specific electrical systems and industry trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a related engineering field
• Minimum 3 years of related professional experience, preferably within the healthcare sector
• Strong knowledge of building electrical design, including lighting, fire alarms, and circuiting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM) for modeling and documenting electrical systems
• Understanding of healthcare-specific requirements such as essential electrical systems and patient safety grounding
• Ability to apply logic and reasoning to structure complex concepts into technical deliverables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with healthcare-specific electrical codes and standards
• Familiarity with construction delivery processes such as Design-Build
• Knowledge of specialty electrical or lighting calculation applications for medical environments
