Electrical Designer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for heavy-duty battery-powered electric drive systems
• Ensure the function and safety of electrical systems associated with assigned projects
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary and global teams to integrate various systems
• Prepare and review technical documentation including circuit diagrams, schematics, and simulation reports
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes and system reliability
• Plan and execute testing and commissioning of newly created systems
• Identify opportunities for process and design optimization

Requirements

• 2+ years of related industry experience in electrical design
• Engineering degree or diploma
• Experience with functional safety design under standards such as IEC EN 61508 and ISO 13849
• In-depth knowledge of battery systems, electric drivetrains, and power electronics
• Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink for hardware and software simulations
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN and Ethernet
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
