Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement complex analog and digital circuits for RF, power management, signal processing, and control systems
  • Design multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) focusing on signal integrity, power delivery, and manufacturability
  • Identify and evaluate electronic components for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Build and test prototypes through rigorous validation and verification
  • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues and optimize designs for robustness
  • Create comprehensive design documentation, schematics, layouts, and test procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical hardware design, preferably in defense or aerospace
  • Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle
  • Knowledge of RF principles and high-speed digital design
  • Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems
  • Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and Ethernet
  • Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with counter-drone systems or related defense technologies
  • Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability)
  • Knowledge of EMC and EMI principles
