Responsibilities
- Architect and implement complex analog and digital circuits for RF, power management, signal processing, and control systems
- Design multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) focusing on signal integrity, power delivery, and manufacturability
- Identify and evaluate electronic components for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Build and test prototypes through rigorous validation and verification
- Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues and optimize designs for robustness
- Create comprehensive design documentation, schematics, layouts, and test procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in electrical hardware design, preferably in defense or aerospace
- Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle
- Knowledge of RF principles and high-speed digital design
- Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems
- Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and Ethernet
- Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with counter-drone systems or related defense technologies
- Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability)
- Knowledge of EMC and EMI principles
