About the role
Responsibilities
- Translate customer design requirements into build-ready UL 508A compliant electrical schematics
- Build out Podium’s component database and standardized symbol library
- Test, implement, and provide feedback on new software tools that help speed up the schematic creation process
- Support operations by answering technician questions and driving process improvement sprints
- Support the automation of the panel build process through testing new methods and ensuring data digitization
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of work experience in electrical engineering
- Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals (AC vs DC, overcurrent protection, wiring sizing)
- Familiarity with DTM, E3, EPLAN, or AutoCAD Electrical
- Ability to work in-person in Brooklyn, NY, 5 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a UL 508A panel shop or designing industrial control panels
- Mechanically inclined with experience in light sheet metal modification and wiring
