Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical design calculations including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, cable sizing, earthing, and lighting
• Develop single line diagrams (SLD), schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Design and specify LV/MV power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and UPS systems
• Perform equipment sizing and selection based on project requirements
• Prepare material requisitions (MR), technical bid evaluations (TBE), and vendor document reviews
• Coordinate with multidiscipline teams including mechanical, instrumentation, civil, and process
• Support HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings
• Assist in construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
• Review and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Provide technical support during project execution and client interactions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design within Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Experience in ADNOC Projects is an advantage
• Ability to work in shifts and extended hours as required
