Electrical & Controls Technician

Responsibilities

• Build and wire electrical panels and field devices to spec
• Install and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, relays, and VFDs
• Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate connections across modular systems
• Calibrate sensors and validate control loops (thermal, gas, pressure)
• Read and interpret schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams
• Support commissioning and field deployment of systems
• Work with engineers to diagnose problems, debug issues, and maintain documentation
• Assist with continuous improvement of control systems and wiring standards
• Support cross-functional teams with prototyping, assembly, and testing

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with electrical systems and controls
• Ability to read and follow schematics and technical drawings
• Proficiency with tools, meters, and shop/lab environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Must be U.S.-based

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical certifications or trade licenses (Journeyman, OSHA 10/30)
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, or industrial automation
• Background in energy systems, manufacturing, or cleantech
