About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, including control and safety wiring, sensors, and industrial automation equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system faults to ensure minimal operational downtime
- Program, configure, and calibrate PLC, SCADA, and related automation platforms to optimize system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with engineering teams and maintenance colleagues to ensure systems operate in line with design specifications and safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications to support audits and regulatory compliance
- Consistently apply site and corporate safety procedures to promote a safe working environment
Requirements
- Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline
- Proven experience working with electrical control systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, BMS systems, and industrial communication networks
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting continuous improvement or reliability-focused initiatives
- Familiarity with safety-critical systems and functional safety standards
- Additional certifications in electrical, automation, or control systems
