Electrical Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC based control systems using ladder logic, structured text, or function block
• Design and develop HMI screens for main and remote control systems
• Design, plan, and implement electrical and controls for new and existing equipment
• Deploy industrial robots for palletizing and packaging applications
• Integrate automation systems and troubleshoot programs at customer sites
• Create and review electrical schematics in AutoCAD
• Select electrical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical components
• Collaborate with product managers and customers to document product requirements
• Participate in technical design reviews and develop test plans

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience programming automation or packaging equipment
• Proficiency in Rockwell and/or Siemens PLC programming
• Experience with CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD Electrical
• Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical and pneumatic systems
• Willingness to travel 10-20% annually

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial PLC and Robot control
• Familiarity with PDM and ERP systems
• Experience with EPLAN
