About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide controls discipline support in the design, construction, testing, installation, and debugging of automation systems at domestic and international sites.
- Support the design of automated cells, including robotics, to improve or create new manufacturing processes.
- Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to ensure equipment is delivered on time, on budget, and meets performance measures.
- Assist in developing integrated industrial control systems for new equipment and modifications to existing systems.
- Develop PLC code and SCADA/HMI systems to achieve desired operational throughput.
- Supervise contract trades groups during the installation of detailed process equipment plans.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with manufacturing processes or automation equipment.
- Proven experience in PLC code development.
- Ability to translate engineering solutions into functional process and equipment designs.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across IT, Facilities, Mechanical, and Process engineering disciplines.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for project deployment and design phases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotic systems integration, debugging, and programming.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with specific PLC/Motion Control platforms such as Beckhoff, B&R, or Allen-Bradley.
- Knowledge of SCADA/HMI development and PID control theory.
- Experience working in manufacturing floor or construction environments with a focus on job site safety.
