About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from initial conception through to manufacturing
- Create PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and schematic drawings for suppliers
- Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation
- Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream Technologies BluePrint-PCB software
- Design layouts for Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies
- Execute design re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, and copper changes
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines to ensure design requirements meet cost, cycle time, and producibility goals
Requirements
- STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electrical design
- Experience with PCB or CCA manufacturing principles and RF-specific layout techniques
- Proven experience laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards
- Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Analog, Digital (including DDR), RF, Power, and mixed technology
- Experience with multi-layer designs and High Density Interconnect (HDI) technology
- Proficiency with Siemens design toolsets (Xpedition Layout, constraint manager, library tools)
- Familiarity with Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) rule sets, and IPC 6012/6013 standards
- Knowledge of military and commercial design standards and GD&T techniques
