Electrical Computer Aided Designer Engineer (ECAD) II

Responsibilities

• Manage Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from initial conception through to manufacturing
• Create PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and schematic drawings for suppliers
• Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation
• Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream Technologies BluePrint-PCB software
• Design layouts for Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies
• Execute design re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, and copper changes
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines to ensure design requirements meet cost, cycle time, and producibility goals

Requirements

• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electrical design
• Experience with PCB or CCA manufacturing principles and RF-specific layout techniques
• Proven experience laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards
• Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Analog, Digital (including DDR), RF, Power, and mixed technology
• Experience with multi-layer designs and High Density Interconnect (HDI) technology
• Proficiency with Siemens design toolsets (Xpedition Layout, constraint manager, library tools)
• Familiarity with Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) rule sets, and IPC 6012/6013 standards
• Knowledge of military and commercial design standards and GD&T techniques
