Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a third-party commissioning consultant for commercial building projects, including offices, hotels, medical, and educational facilities.
• Oversee on-site commissioning and verification of electrical systems, including medium and low voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, and busbars.
• Manage testing for lighting control systems, emergency power, and power monitoring/energy metering systems.
• Perform functional linkage testing between electrical systems and HVAC, BMS, and automation systems.
• Review electrical design drawings, equipment data, and contractor commissioning plans.
• Coordinate with MEP general contractors, subcontractors, equipment manufacturers, and owners to resolve commissioning issues.
• Prepare commissioning records, deficiency lists, and final commissioning reports in both Chinese and English.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical systems or MEP commissioning within commercial buildings.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building electrical system components, operating logic, and commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to coordinate with contractors and owners while performing on-site problem analysis.
• Proficiency in English for reading design documents and technical equipment data.
• Experience working as a third-party Commissioning Agent.
• Ability to work on a project basis, including periodic on-site residency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Engineer certification.
• Experience with HVAC or plumbing/drainage systems.
